Green Environment
Our compound is spacious with trees and in healthy green environment, without the dust and polution from Kathmandu.
Solar steam kitchen
Our food is cooked with the sun by means of a solar steam kitchen. Our students learn to think in solutions rather than in problems.
Biogas
When the sun doesn’t shine, we use biogas which is produced with the dung from the cow farm. Also the water from the school toilets flows to the biogas tank.
Dairy farm
The dairy farm produces milk for the students, and dung for the biogas plant.
Organic vegetable garden
Vegetable for the school is partly grown in our own organic garden, where no fertiliser or poison is used.
Beehives
The school has its own bee hives for honey.
Rainwater harvesting
To save water, the school collects its own rainwater in tanks under the school.
Green studies
The Vajra Academy not only boasts of green facilities and nature all around, but the school also has a unique Green Curriculum to make the students understand nature and environment because we are dependant upon them. That’s why part of the lessons are outside.
